Arizona has some great black bear hunting during both the spring and fall seasons. Tags are available over the counter (OTC) and may be purchased at any license dealer. The use of dogs to hunt bears is only permitted during the fall seasons.
The American black bear is found in forested mountain regions across Arizona, especially central and eastern parts of the state. Despite the name, many Arizona bears are brown or cinnamon-colored. They are omnivores, feeding on berries, insects, and carrion, and are typically most active during spring and fall, early morning and late evening. Hunting bears in the fall when they are feeding on prickly pear cactus is a blast!
We offer both spot and stalk hunts and hunting with dogs in the fall. Our 5 day bear hunts range from $3500 to $5,000.
